Day 02Kashgar Sunday Market city tour
Today is a further day in Kashgar for us to experience the famous Yakshambe Bazaar - the Sunday Market. In the morning we will first visit the famous animal market. Here we will spend the morning watching the locals trade everything from woodwork and iron wear to sheep, donkeys, cattle, horses and camels before progressing onto the covered bazaar, believed to be the biggest in Central Asia. The afternoon visit Id Kah Mosque. It is the largest Mosque in China and most famous one in Xinjiang. The Mosque started to be build in the mid of fifteenth century, and has gradually developed to the present size. Id Kah Mosque, with about 16800 square meters in area, The Corridor, the Arches and other buildings attaching to it. The Pray Hall is supported by 140 carved wooden pillars. The buildings of Id Kah Mosque look magnificent and solemn , and display the artistic style mosque architectures. After this place we will continue to Apak Hoja!!!
Apak Hoja Tomb is Mazar. It is the holiest place in Xinjiang and an architectural treasure. Built in 1640 it is reminiscent of the Central Asian artistic style of Samarkand or Isfahan. A handsome blue-and-white tiled gate leads into the compound, which includes a small religious school and the Abakh Khoja family tomb. The latter is domed and faced with multi - colored tiles. It is said that it is the most complete Islamic tomb of the Qing Dynasty up-to-now in the whole China!!!
Then we will drive to Old town. Kashgar is an ancient city, and while walking along the streets of its Old Town, you will get a sense of what this legendary Central Asian hub was like in the days when the Silk Road was at its zenith. 500-year old remnants of the city wall, narrow lanes and colorful multi-ethnic crowds combine to make Kashgar's historic district a highlight of any visit tothe city. Day 03 Kashgar--karakul lake (Bus 200Km)
After breakfast drive on the China and Pakistan highway to visit the Karakul Lake and enjoy the Pamir landscape. Karakul Lake is situated at the altitude of 3,600 m. It is the highest lake of the Pamir plateau, near the junction of the Pamir, Tianshan and Kunlun Mountain ranges. Surrounded by mountains which remain snow-covered throughout the year, the three highest peaks visible from the lake are the Muztag Ata (7 546m), Kongur Tagh (7 649m) and Kongur Tiube (7 530 m). The lake is popular among travelers for its beautiful scenery and the clarity of its reflection in the water, whose color ranges from a dark green to azure and light blue. Over night at Lake
Day04 karakul lake --Subash (7 hours) 15 Km
Morning breakfast , pack up all equipments starts to Subash , today the destionas we add somew more about 7--8 hours treks lead us biggest villages of Kirgyz , Subash Village, a settlement comprised of 25-30 stone houses occupied by Kyrgyz families, which is situated around 15km from Mt.Muztaghata basecamp. We’ll arrive at Idare Village late in the afternoon, dinner with the families we aim to go to bed early to be ready for the next days trekking. over night at camping.
Day05 Subash villages--Mt,Mustaghata basecamp--Qoltumak 13Km,5hours.
The day begins with breakfast after which our luggage will be packed onto camels ready to begin our trek at around 9:00 am. Our local guide from Kashgar and camel men from local kirgyz will lead you towards Subash Village. Due to the high altitude and first day of the trek, we aim to trek for an achievable four hours. The destination for today of trekking is the very small summer village of Kyrgyz nomads called as Qaltumak. During winter, the people move to lower altitudes to avoid the freezing temperatures, but during summer the weather in Qaltumak is warm enough for them to stay for around 4 months to feed their animals like yaks, camels, sheep, goats, donkeys and …. Muztagh Ata is known by locals as The Father of Ice Mountain, and its snow covered peak is 7546m above the sea level. We will be able to see the spectacular views of this great mountain top while trying to count the hundreds of Marmots who appear to be playing hide and seek on the slopes. You will also be given the opportunity to meet with local Hayed shepherds. Evening will be spent in Kirgiz stone built house, over night at Qoltumak Kirgyzs home stay or tent.
Day06 Qaltumak to Down to Subash (12km) then to Kashgar
We will start our trek at 9:00 AM from Qaltumak to Idare. Once we reach to Idare early in the afternoon, our car with the driver waiting for us to take back to Kashgar , over night at Kashgar.
Day07 Leave for Home
Trips end , transfer to airport , seeing off , service end .
